《谜案创造者》是一款借助VR装备在虚拟世界解谜破案的游戏，上市后获得全世界玩家的喜爱，销量极高。近期该游戏将推出续作，为了造势，开发商巨齿鲨游戏公司举办了一次试玩会，邀请八位现实中的谜案爱好者参加，其中就包括加茂冬马。
试玩会在建于孤岛之上的巨齿鲨庄进行，八位参加者分批前来，不料游戏尚未开始就发生变故，玩家变为人质。要想解救家人、平安回去，就必须同时解开发生在现实世界及VR世界里的命案！
