A brief introduction to the contents of the Beauvoir Interview
In 1970, Schwarzer met Beauvoir in Paris, where the feminist movement was on the rise, and while working together, the idea of interviewing her led to the first interview in this book: Why did Beauvoir declare herself a feminist for the first time 23 years after the publication of The Second Sex?
