郝桂莲，女，博士，云南师范大学教授，长期从事现当代美国小说、当代西方文论及比较文学等领域的教学与研究。曾赴香港大学文学院、宾夕法尼亚大学英语系访学。著有《苏珊·桑塔格小说艺术论》。
Content introduction
This book discusses the deep relationship between Sontag and Chinese traditional culture in consciousness and thought. Sontag's works can be described as "the text is like the person", rich in changes and sometimes contradictory; Similarly, the variation pattern of "both this and that" and "both black and white" also dominates the overall framework of Chinese classical literary theory. This book takes this as a starting point to examine Sontag's overall creation and aesthetic thoughts, and it can be seen that "not easy in changes" and "not easy in changes" not only run through her creation, but also across all categories of her creation. To interpret Sontag from the perspective of Chinese traditional culture is more helpful for readers to deeply understand his creative ideas and thoughts.
About the author
Hao Guilian, Ph.D., professor at Yunnan Normal University, has long been engaged in the teaching and research of modern and contemporary American novels, contemporary Western literary theory and comparative literature. He was a visiting scholar at the School of Arts, the University of Hong Kong and the English Department, the University of Pennsylvania. Author of Susan Sontag on the Art of Fiction.
