内容提要
一张普通的照片让一位居住在郊区的母亲的生活发生了翻天覆地的变化。当格蕾丝•劳森取回新冲洗出来的一卷家庭照片时，发现了一张不属于这里的照片——它至少拍摄于二十年前。照片里有五个人：其中四个人格蕾丝并不认识，而另外一个看上去很像她的丈夫，杰克。

Content summary
An ordinary photo turns a suburban mother's life upside down. When Grace Lawson retrieved a newly developed roll of family photos, she found one that didn't belong here - it was taken at least 20 years ago. There were five people in the picture: four of whom Grace didn't know, and one who looked a lot like her husband, Jack.
When Jack saw the photo, he denied that he was one of them, but later that night, while Grace was waiting for him in bed, he drove off in the family minivan, leaving no explanation and taking the photo with him.
Not knowing where he had gone or why he had gone, Grace took it upon herself to shelter the children in the days without Jack. As the days pass, more and more mysteries arise in Grace's mind, as she questions herself, her marriage, and Jack, and she discovers that others are also searching for Jack and the photo -- including a silent killer who is fierce and ruthless and will not stop.
When the police refuse to help, and neighbors and friends seem to have their own agendas, she must deal with her tragic and dark past alone, trying to keep her children safe while searching for, hopefully, the safe return of her husband.

Harlan Coben was born in 1962 in a suburb of Newark, New Jersey, in a geographical setting similar to that of the TV series The Sopranos. His father ran a travel agency, and his parents both loved books, which influenced him to read a lot from an early age. Cobain studied political science at Amherst College, ran it out of his home after graduation
