Mitsuyo Kadada: a talented and prolific Japanese woman writer whose works span both pure and popular literature and have topped bestseller lists year after year. In 2005, he won the Naoki Prize (the highest award in Japanese popular literature), and was a finalist for the Akutagawa Prize and the Naoki Prize three times. Together with Banana Yoshimoto and Kaori Ekuni, she is known as the three most important women writers in the Japanese literary world.
