作者简介
杨鹏，毕业于北京大学西语系，哈佛大学亚洲中心研究学者（2014—2016），北京掌上国学院创办人。杨鹏从事中国国学与犹太教、基督教比较研究，既思辨深刻，又深入浅出。曾出版《成为上帝》、《东亚新文化的兴起》、《老子详解：老子执政学研究》、《为公益而共和》、《“上帝在中国”源流考》、《杨鹏解读〈道德经〉》、《杨鹏解读论语》、DaoDeJing（《道德经》英译本，2016，美国Wapner&BrentBooks出版）、《道德经（汉英对照）》、《杨鹏解读〈大学〉》、《〈尚书〉二十讲》等11本专著。

From Shang Tang and Zhou Gong to Laozi and Confucius, the founders of the early Chinese civilization have still deeply influenced the spiritual world of the Chinese people over two thousand years. Today, when we face these ancient Kings, saints, and thinkers, the question inevitably arises: Do we inherit the greatness of our ancestors, or do we repeat their limitations?
This is the question this book tries to answer. How we understand their world view is related to how we understand history and how we understand the present. Scholar Yang Peng has been studying the ideological evolution of pre-Qin dynasty for many years, taking the characters in the Records of the Grand Historian as the context, interpreting the characters' thoughts and values from the perspectives of faith, political system, war view, social values, etc., so that we can see the ideological evolution of the two social transformations from the change of Shang and Zhou Dynasties to the change of Zhou and Qin Dynasties, and how it has affected us up to now. Only by understanding the changes of social thought in the pre-Qin period can we understand the greatness and limitations of our ancestors and gain the current experience and wisdom.
About the author
Yang Peng, graduated from the Department of Spanish at Peking University, is a research scholar at the Asia Center of Harvard University (2014-2016), and the founder of Beijing Palmtop College. Yang Peng is engaged in the comparative study of Chinese sinology, Judaism and Christianity, which is both deeply speculative and simple.
