Ludwig von Mises (1881-1973), famous economist, tutor of Nobel Prize winner Hayek, third generation leader of the Austrian economic School, was professor of economics at the University of Vienna and chief economist of the Vienna Business Council. He moved to the United States in 1940 and became a visiting professor at New York University, where he lectured and wrote. He has published more than 20 books.
