He has taught at the University of Edinburgh, the University of Glasgow and other prestigious universities in the world, and has lectured several times in Europe, Australia and North America.

Tom Moore has published a number of books on the history of books and romantic literature, and has received awards from the International Byron Society and the Society for the History of Writing, Reading and Publication (SHARP), winning the Scottish Cross Study Book of the Year Award in 2018.
