艾米莉·斯普尔（Emily Spurr），澳大利亚作家，一直从事教育图书出版工作，是2021年美国书评网（BookBrowse）最佳处女作获奖者，现居墨尔本。本书是她的第一本长篇小说，该书入围了澳大利亚TextPrize奖和“维多利亚洲总理文学奖”未出版小说奖决选两大奖项。

There are many kinds of memories to retain a person, it may be hidden in the street we walked together, the restaurant we went to, the sunken sofa, or the pungent perfume that we once hated, thought about but missed...... Both protagonists have a person in their hearts they can't forget, but their ways of coping are very different: 10-year-old Lei plays a small adult, after her mother disappeared, she is strict self-discipline pretending that everything is normal, trying to fill the empty home with normal; Neighbor grandma Leti buries the grief of losing her infant daughter under stinking garbage, forcing herself to stop thinking about the good old days. The two left behind, each clinging to the memory of the house.
Because of understanding the pain that others can not ignore, the old stubbornness and small stubbornness that originally looked at each other and walked into each other's lives. They all refuse to care from the outside world, but they can stand up to each other when they are most vulnerable, and help each other protect things they care about in their own way.

Emily Spurr is an Australian author who has been working on educational books and is the winner of BookBrowse's 2021 Best First Novel award, currently based in Melbourne. This is her first full-length novel and was a finalist for the Australian TextPrize and the Victorian Premier's Literary Award for Unpublished Fiction.
