【英】T.理查德·布勒顿（T.Richard Blurton）
南亚艺术和考古学专家，在剑桥大学接受考古学训练，曾在北非、阿富汗和印度南部进行考古发掘。1986年，加入大英博物馆从事印度藏品工作，曾任大英博物馆南亚馆负责人，大英博物馆助理馆长。出版有《印度艺术》《孟加拉神话》等作品。
杨怡爽
云南财经大学印度洋地区研究中心副教授、硕士生导师，长期从事南亚相关问题研究。译有《象群中的蚂蚁：一个不可接触者家庭与现代印度的形成》《莫迪的世界：扩大印度的势力范围》《罗摩衍那：插图重述版》等多部作品。

A Brief History of the Indian Subcontinent at the British Museum is different from ordinary history writing. It selects more than 400 pieces from the South Asian collection of the British Museum, bringing together stone tools, pottery, porcelain, jade, bronze, painting, calligraphy, silk, decorative arts and other aspects. By exploring the hidden secrets of artifacts, from the Indus Civilization to the emergence of many religions, from the rise of the Mughals to the arrival of Europeans, from the urban glories of the empire to the rural and tribal life of the subcontinent, the intricacies of thousands of years of South Asian civilization are brought to the reader in a new way.
About the author
[E] T.Richard Blurton
A specialist in South Asian art and archaeology, trained in archaeology at Cambridge University and has carried out archaeological excavations in North Africa, Afghanistan and southern India. In 1986, he joined the British Museum to work on the Indian collection, where he served as head of South Asia and Assistant Director of the British Museum. He has published works such as Indian Art and Bengali Mythology.
Yang Yishang
He is an associate professor and master's supervisor at the Indian Ocean Regional Research Center of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. He is the author of Ants among the Elephants: A Family of Untouchables and the Making of Modern India, Modi's World: Expanding India's Sphere of Influence, Ramayana: An Illustrated Retelling, and many other books.
