阿尔弗雷多·布里斯·埃切尼克（1939—），秘鲁著名作家，拉美“爆炸后文学”的代表作家之一，西语文学“新感伤主义”的代表人物，被誉为“拉丁美洲的普鲁斯特”。出身于一个非常富有的秘鲁上层家庭，其高祖父何塞·鲁菲诺·埃切尼克曾做过秘鲁总统（1851—1855）。《胡里乌斯的世界》是他的长篇小说首作和成名作，于1972年获秘鲁国家文学奖。

Alfredo Brice Echenique (1939 -) is a famous Peruvian writer, one of the representative writers of Latin American "post-explosion literature", the representative figure of Spanish literature "new sentisentialism", known as the "Proust of Latin America". The son of a very wealthy Peruvian upper-class family, his great-grandfather Jose Rufino Echenique was President of Peru (1851-1855). The World of Julius, his first novel, won the Peruvian National Prize for Literature in 1972.
