作者简介
刘玮，北京大学哲学与经济学双学士，清华大学哲学硕士，香港中文大学哲学博士，美国加州大学伯克利分校、普林斯顿大学、德国慕尼黑大学访问学者；现为中国人民大学哲学院教授，青年杰出学者，教育部青年长江学者；主要研究领域为古希腊哲学、西方伦理学和政治哲学史；出版《公益与私利：亚里士多德实践哲学研究》等著作，发表中英文论文三十余篇，译著十余部；曾获得北京市第十一届青年教师教学基本功比赛一等奖，首都劳动奖章；热爱哲学普及工作，是得到APP“每天听本书”栏目解读人，制作《伦理学通识20讲》《存在主义哲学20讲》《后现代思潮22讲》等课程。
Content introduction
We often wonder: What is the purpose of living? In the different aspects of life, which is the real self? Do I have freedom of action? The existentialist philosophical movement, which took place in the mid-19th century until the end of the 1980s, gave many wonderful answers to these questions. This book takes 12 of the most representative existentialist philosophers, namely Kierkegaard, Heidegger, Hosserl, Nietzsche, Sartre, Camus, Beauvoir, Jaspers, Gadamer, Arendt, Dostoevsky and Merlet-Ponty, and summarizes their most profound, warm and interesting philosophical insights. And try to help readers better think about their own life circumstances and life choices through their thinking. In the "Extra meal" section, there are also vivid interpretations of existentialist art, theology, psychology, film, drama and other issues. This book is based on the lecture notes of "20 Lectures on Existentialist Philosophy" co-authored by Professor Liu Wei, and the selected messages of the course after each lecture are added. The common thinking of the narrator and the audience on existentialist philosophy results in a wonderful existentialist philosophy class.
About the author
Liu Wei, Bachelor of Philosophy and Economics from Peking University, Master of Philosophy from Tsinghua University, Doctor of Philosophy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, visiting scholar at University of California, Berkeley, Princeton University and University of Munich, Germany; He is now a professor of the School of Philosophy, Renmin University of China, a young outstanding scholar, and a Young Yangtze River Scholar of the Ministry of Education. His research interests include ancient Greek philosophy, Western ethics and the history of political philosophy. He has published works such as Public Good and Private Interest: A Study of Aristotle's Practical Philosophy. He has published more than 30 Chinese and English papers and translated more than 10 books. He won the first prize of the 11th Beijing Basic Teaching Skills Competition for Young Teachers and the Capital Labor Medal.
