　　在物质生活高度繁荣的今天，人们时常为外物所累，“想”回到相对贫乏的过去，重回人与物的和谐关系。

　　为什么柴火灶比煤气灶烧菜更香？为什么自行车比汽车似乎更能承载？为什么炉子比暖气更暖人心？

　　这种对过去生活的罗曼蒂克的想法值得玩味。作者王小伟琢磨了一种恰当的、刻画生活的手段，从怀旧的影像中梳理内心，透过自身的经验和长辈的回忆，回顾八九十年代以来我们熟悉的技术人工物（俗称“东西”）是如何生灭的，试图解释为什么在之前的岁月物件是如此金贵，仿佛家庭成员，而现在的物件变成了纯粹的商品，只剩下干瘪的使用价值。

　　本书中所谈论的诸多技术物是“70后”“80后”“90后”共同的回忆，有些是比较单纯的设备，比如电视、手机，有些是直接和生活相关的技术物，比如住房和服饰，还有饮食。作者以技术哲学为基，打破学术和文学的壁垒，把物当成主角，刻画一段我们共同走过的集体历史。

　　中国人民大学哲学院科技哲学教研室副教授、杰出青年学者，兼任中国自然辩证法（科学技术哲学）研究会常务理事、青年工作委员会主任，北京科技史与科学社会学学会副秘书长。一直从事科技伦理、技术哲学研究工作。

　　近著有《技术意向性与现代技术治理》（2023），近编有Harmonious Technology:A Confucian Ethics of Technology（2021，与Pak-Hang Wong合编）。在中英文学术期刊上发表研究论文20余篇。这些工作试图超越技术工具论视角，结合中国传统的儒家哲学资源，为理解技术的本质提供新颖思路。其基本观点是，技术并不是中立的工具，任由人取舍、摆弄，技术具有意向性，能够诱导人的行为。人的种种生活意义是经由技术物的参与与建构得以展开的。

　　在学院工作之外，担任豆瓣时间科技伦理相关音频课程主讲人，为《新京报》《信睿周报》等报刊撰写评论与专栏文章，致力于推动科技伦理、技术哲学研究的传播。近来试图透过对“低技术”（日用物品）的诠释，来回顾八九十年代以来中国人的技术生活史。

Introduction of works

In today's highly prosperous material life, people are often burdened by foreign things and "want" to return to the relatively poor past and return to the harmonious relationship between people and things.

Why do wood-fired stoves smell better than gas stoves? Why do bicycles seem to carry more weight than cars? Why is a stove warmer than a heater?

This romantic idea of past life is worth toying with. The author Wang Xiaowei thought about an appropriate way to portray life, to sort out the heart from the nostalgic image, through his own experience and the memories of his elders, to review how the technological artifacts (commonly known as "things") that we are familiar with since the 1980s and 1990s are born and die, trying to explain why objects in the previous years were so precious, like family members. Now objects have become pure commodities, with only a shrivelled use value left.

Many of the technologies discussed in this book are the common memories of the "post-70s", "post-80s" and "post-90s". Some are relatively simple devices, such as television and mobile phones, while others are directly related to life, such as housing and clothing, and food. Based on the philosophy of technology, the author breaks down academic and literary barriers, takes things as the protagonists, and describes a collective history that we walk through together.

Wang Xiaowei

He is an associate professor and distinguished young scholar in the Teaching and Research Department of Philosophy of Science and Technology, School of Philosophy of Renmin University of China. He is also the Executive director of the Chinese Society of Dialectics of Nature (Philosophy of Science and Technology), the director of the Youth Working Committee, and the deputy Secretary-General of the Beijing Society of History of Science and Sociology of Science. He has been engaged in the research of science and technology ethics and philosophy of technology.

He is the author of Technology Intentionality and Modern Technology Governance (2023) and Harmonious Technology:A Confucian Ethics of Technology (2021, co-edited with Pak-Hang Wong). He has published more than 20 research papers in Chinese and English academic journals. These works attempt to go beyond the perspective of technological instrumentalism and combine traditional Chinese Confucian philosophical resources to provide novel ideas for understanding the nature of technology. Its basic view is that technology is not a neutral tool, at the disposal of people, fiddling, technology has intentionality, can induce people's behavior. The meaning of human life is developed through the participation and construction of technical objects.

In addition to his work in the college, he served as the keynote speaker of audio courses related to science and technology ethics on Douban Time, and wrote commentary and column articles for newspapers and periodicals such as Beijing News and Xinrui Weekly, and was committed to promoting the dissemination of research on science and technology ethics and philosophy of technology. Recent attempts have been made to review the technological life history of Chinese people since the 1980s and 1990s through the interpretation of "low technology" (daily goods).
