　　石康（Kenneth M.Swope），美国历史学家，南密西西比大学历史学教授、战争与社会研究中心高级研究员。他的主要学术兴趣是明朝史，特别是明朝军事史。主要著作有《龙头蛇尾：明代中国与第一次东亚大战，1592—1598》《明朝的军事崩溃，1618—1644》等。

At the end of the 16th century, after the reform of Zhang Juzheng, the decline of the Ming Dynasty was swept away, and the young emperor Wanli adopted an active and effective border policy, which continued the military revival of the Ming Dynasty, but the party rivalry in the court also intensified. Nurhachi, the future later Jin Khan, conquered various departments of the Jurchen and became an emerging force that could not be ignored. Under the administration of Sun Ju and Lee, North Korea is plagued by internal strife, a wastage of internal affairs, and the dismantlement of its military. The humble Toyotomi Hideyoshi of the Warring States put down all the forces, gradually unified the Japanese islands, and began to look to the mainland.

In the spring of 1592, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who was trying to conquer the Ming Dynasty, assembled a large army at Naguya City and issued an order to cross the sea and invade the war. In May, the Japanese landed in Busan, and all the way, the Korean Kings and ministers were unable to resist, and urgently asked the Ming Court for help, and a six-year East Asian war involving hundreds of thousands of soldiers began.

In this book, military historian Shi Kang pays attention to the use of Chinese historical materials, pays attention to the war mobilization, strategy and tactics, military technology, logistics and battlefield environment, analyzes the interaction of internal affairs, diplomacy and military, and describes many details of the siege, mountain field and sea battles and tells the story of the Great war in three dimensions. Introduction of the author

Kenneth M. Schope is an American historian, professor of history at the University of Southern Mississippi and senior fellow at the Center for War and Society Studies. His main academic interest was the history of the Ming Dynasty, especially its military history. His books include The Serpent's Tail: Ming China and the First East Asian War, 1592-1598 and The Military Collapse of the Ming Dynasty, 1618-1644.

Zhou Sicheng, a native of Changsha, Hunan Province, has a PhD in history and is an associate professor of history at the School of Humanities, Tsinghua University. His main research fields are Mongolian and Yuan history, national history and military history. He has published works such as The Wrath of the Great Khan: A Brief History of the Yuan Dynasty's Conquest of Japan, Hui Sandu: A History of the Mongol Conquest of Jin, etc., and has also translated many books.
