《王朝的余晖》是季宇创作的一部书写中国晚清历史的作品。本书从1860年前后晚清政坛的动荡写起，一直到1900年庚子国变后结束，书写了晚清重臣李鸿章创建、发展淮军的始末以及淮军兴盛、演变直到最终覆灭的历程。作者以宏大的视角、细腻的笔触，还原了淮军所参与的清末多场战争的面目，展现了这一时期清王朝在内外交困的背景下迅速衰朽以及各阶层、各势力互相博弈的历史过程。拨开尘雾，重新观察这支曾经作为清王朝最后军事支柱的淮军，回顾那段烽烟四起、浮沉跌宕的中国近代史。
季宇，曾任中国作家协会全委会委员、安徽省文联主席、省作协主席，省政府参事，一级作家。著有《新安家族》《淮军四十年》《段祺瑞传》《共和，1911》《猎头》《群山呼啸》等。作品曾获全国“五个一工程”奖、星光奖、飞天奖、金鹰奖、人民文学奖、中篇小说选刊奖和安徽社科文艺奖等。长篇小说《新安家族》被译介为德文出版。根据《当铺》改编的电影《家丑》获第二届北京大学生电影节最佳故事片奖。
Introduction of works
The Afterglow of the Dynasty is a historical work of the late Qing Dynasty written by Ji Yu. From the political turmoil of the late Qing Dynasty around 1860 to the end of the revolution of the Gengzi State in 1900, the book describes the beginning and end of the establishment and development of the Huai Army by Li Hongzhang, the important minister of the late Qing Dynasty, and the course of the prosperity, evolution and final collapse of the Huai Army. With a grand perspective and delicate brushwork, the author restores the face of many wars in the late Qing Dynasty that Huai Army participated in, and shows the historical process of the rapid decline of Qing Dynasty under the background of internal diplomatic difficulties and the game between various classes and forces in this period. Dispel the dust fog, re-observe the Huai army, which used to be the last military pillar of the Qing Dynasty, and review the modern history of China that was filled with war and ups and downs.
Ji Yu was a member of the National Committee of the Chinese Writers Association, the chairman of the Anhui Provincial Federation of Literature, the chairman of the provincial Writers Association, the provincial government counselor, and a first-level writer. He is the author of Xin 'an Family, Forty Years of Huai Army, Biography of Duan Qirui, Republic, 1911, Headhunter and The Mountains Whistling. His works have won the national "Five one Project" award, Xingguang Award, Feitian Award, Golden Eagle Award, People's Literature Award, Novella Selected Magazine Award and Anhui Social Science Literature Award. The novel "Xin 'an Family" was translated and published in German. Domestic Uglily, a film adapted from the Pawn Shop, won the Best Feature Film award at the 2nd Beijing College Student Film Festival.
