著者汪曾祺(1920-1997),江苏高邮人,中国二十世纪著名小说家、散文家、戏剧家。1939年就读于西南联大,1940年开始发表作品。当过中学教员,1949年后做过多年杂志编辑,编过《北京文艺》《说说唱唱》《民间文学》,1962年下放劳动归来,在北京京剧院任编剧直至离休。著有《邂逅集》《汪曾祺短篇小说选》《晩饭花集》《晚翠文谈》《蒲桥集》《旅食集》等。
编者杨早,北京大学文学博士,中国社会科学院文学所研究员,“话题”系列主编,阅读邻居读书会联合创始人。著有《清末民初北京庭论环境与新文化的登场》《民国了》《野史记》《说史记》《早读过了》《传媒时代的文学重生》等,编有《沈从文集》《汪曾祺集》等,译有《合肥四姊妹》。

The author was Wang Zengqi (1920-1997), a native of Gaoyou, Jiangsu Province, a famous Chinese novelist, essayist and dramatist in the 20th century. In 1939, he studied at the Southwest Associated University and began to publish his works in 1940. After 1949, he worked as a magazine editor for many years, editing "Beijing Literature and Art", "Talk about Singing" and "Folk Literature". In 1962, he returned from work and worked as a scriptwriter in Beijing Opera House until he retired. His works include Encounter Collection, Selected short stories of Wang Zengqi, Dinner Flower Collection, Evening Cui Wen Talk, Pu Qiao Collection, Travel and Food Collection, etc.
