凯瑟琳·卡弗（Catherine Carver）完成了她的第一个自然科学学位后，继续在阿伯丁大学学习医学，期间还在坦桑尼亚与结核病、艾滋病毒患者一起工作。她曾在惠康基金会工作，在伦敦卫生与热带医学院担任过研究员，还在哈佛大学学习过公共卫生。凯瑟琳·卡弗现居住在苏格兰，是一位经验丰富的科学传播者，她曾为《柳叶刀》《科学美国人》《教育》《马赛克》和《惠康基金会》撰写博客。

About the author

After completing her first degree in natural sciences, Catherine Carver went on to study medicine at the University of Aberdeen, while also working with TB and HIV patients in Tanzania. She has worked for the Wellcome Trust, been a research fellow at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and studied public health at Harvard University. Catherine Carver lives in Scotland and is an experienced science communicator who has written blogs for The Lancet, Scientific American, Education, Mosaic and the Wellcome Trust.
