After more than ten years, he returned to his native land and made great contributions to the spread of Buddhism in China. He was the first to obtain and translate native Indian Buddhist texts; Expanded geographical knowledge of the Western Regions, Central Asia, and India to China for the first time; It recorded the history, culture and religion of the Western regions and South Asia for the first time, leaving indispensable historical documents for the study of the ancient history of Central Asia and South Asia. When he went west, he was at the beginning of the great cultural exchanges between the East and the West. Hu Yunhong, associate professor at the College of Landscape Architecture, Nanjing Forestry University, is leading the National Social Science Foundation project "Research on the Historical Evolution of Jiangnan Gardens". He has published two academic monographs, participated in editing two, and published more than 30 academic papers.
