《采香者》【内容简介】

　　多米尼克·罗克（DominiqueRoques），芬美意的天然原料采购主管，踏遍世界的采香者。芬美意公司创立于1895年，是世界最大的从事香精原料研究和生产的公司，其中一项研究成果曾获诺贝尔化学奖。目前风靡全球的圣罗兰黑鸦片、宝格丽白茶、CK的男士香水，以及古驰的花蜜之水都是出自芬美意的打造。

　　罗克毕业于巴黎高等商学院，后加入专门从事天然芳香原料的一家法国公司碧欧兰（Biolandes），二十年期间在西班牙、摩洛哥、马达加斯加、土耳其和保加利亚组织了综合供应链。他于2009年加入芬美意采购团队，负责采购全面的天然产品组合，致力于探索天然成分的来源，让更多人认识制造这些提取物的“采香者”。

Planting, ploughing, gathering, fatting, felling, extracting, distilling - the perfumers toil day and night in a changing climate, barren land, fluctuating economic and political conditions to provide the perfumers with rich and layered natural ingredients that inspire their extraordinary creations.

As the purchasing director of the world's largest fragrance manufacturing company, Roque frequently shuttles between perfumers and perfumers, building a bridge of trust for the two sides who need each other but are completely separated, providing the former with unique and high-quality raw materials, and ensuring long-term and stable purchasing needs for the latter. Dominic Roque, Firmenich's head of natural ingredients purchasing, is a globetrover. Firmenich, founded in 1895, is the world's largest company engaged in the research and production of flavor raw materials, one of which has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Saint Laurent's black opium, Bulgari white tea, Calvin Klein's men's perfume, and Gucci's Nectar Water were all created by Firmenich.

After graduating from HEC Paris, Roque joined Biolandes, a French company specialising in natural aromatic ingredients, where for two decades he organised integrated supply chains in Spain, Morocco, Madagascar, Turkey and Bulgaria. He joined Firmenich's sourcing team in 2009 and is responsible for sourcing a comprehensive natural product portfolio, dedicated to exploring the origins of natural ingredients and introducing more people to the "fragrance pickers" who make these extracts.

What do you mean?

Wang Yici, Ph.D., is a lecturer at the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Her main research interest is European politics. She once studied at the School of Intercultural Management and Communication in Paris. His translation "Eating is a Civic Act" was shortlisted for the 11th Fu Lei Translation and Publishing Award in 2019.
