作者简介
鲁迪·拉克（RudyRucker），1946年3月出生于美国，当代数学家、计算机科学家和作家，也是赛博朋克科幻学派的创始人之一。曾两次获菲利普·K.迪克奖。他最出名的作品是Ware系列，即具有开创性的赛博朋克四部曲。他还创立并定义了科幻小说的超现实主义运动，并将这种风格沿用至自己的创作中，将自己作为其中一个角色。鲁迪·拉克现居美国旧金山。
"The Million Mile Road" content introduction
When a seemingly innocent trumpet solo opens a tunnel to another dimension with some bebop tune, three young Californians with no future ahead of them plot a road trip, transforming a purple 1980s station wagon to join the teleported aliens on a million mile Odyssey.
Across dozens of basins, passing strange alien worlds and civilizations. Driving a purple whale car with a dark energy engine, graphene tires and quantum shock absorption, the road is full of novelty and danger. Both to solve the daily troubles of the members, and to stop the strange carnivorous flying saucers from invading Earth. Maybe the gap is just a tiny possibility: to find love.
About the author
RudyRucker (born March 1946 in the United States) is a contemporary mathematician, computer scientist, and author, and one of the founders of the Cyberpunk school of science fiction. He was twice awarded the Philip K. Dick Award. He is best known for the Ware series, the seminal cyberpunk tetralogy. He also founded and defined the surrealist movement of science fiction and applied this style to his own writing, using himself as one of the characters. Rudy Rucker lives in San Francisco.
