作者简介

In The Natural History of the Future, ecologist Rob Dunn argues that despite our best efforts to control nature, life operates by its own rules, and no human tamper can rewrite them. Dunn explains the fundamental laws of ecology, evolution, and biogeography, as well as the laws of life that no human activity can undo. Life is not bound by man's best-laid plans; instead, Dunn shows us why humanity's own future hangs in the balance.
About the author
Rob Dunn is Distinguished Professor of Applied Ecology at North Carolina State University and Professor at the Center for Whole Genomics Evolution at the University of Copenhagen, where he studies human biodiversity. A rising star among popular science writers, his first book, All Living Beings, won the National Outdoor Book Award. At present, he has published a total of seven books, including "Roommate under the Microscope", "The Great Epic of Life exploration", "Our body, Miss savage Nature" and so on. He has written more than 100 articles for National Geographic, Scientific American, BBC Wildlife, Natural History and other magazines. He currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina.
