艾格尼丝·阿尔伯（Agnes Arber，1879—1960）英国植物学家、植物科学史家，英国皇家学会会员，她是皇家学会历史上第三位女性会员，第一位植物学女院士。1912年出版的Herbals,Their Origin and Evolution:A Chapter in the History of Botany 1470—1670是阿尔伯最早完成的学术著作，该书在1938年进行了大幅度的修改和扩增，后因其开创性影响入选《剑桥文丛》。

This is a classic study of the early history of printed botany and herbology in Europe, and has contributed to every work on herbology since its publication in 1912. The life work of Agnes Arber (1879-1960), the first female fellow of the Royal Society of Botany, is a seminal work in the study of European herbal medicine, and has only now been translated into Chinese for the first time in more than a century. Agnes Arber (1879-1960) was an English botanist, historian of plant science, and Fellow of the Royal Society, the third female member of the Royal Society and the first female fellow of Botany. Herbals,Their Origin and Evolution:A Chapter in the History of Botany, published in 1912, 1470-1670 was Alber's first completed scholarly work, The book was substantially revised and expanded in 1938 and later selected for its seminal influence in the Cambridge Bundle.

Wang Zhao, PhD of Philosophy of Science and Technology, Peking University, Associate researcher of Collaborative Innovation Research Center of Culture and Technology, Sichuan University. His academic direction is history of natural history and image research of natural history.
