在家庭形态日益多样的今天，越来越多人高呼“家庭”走向了解体。
究竟，何以为家？是不论远近无从选择的血缘，还是一屋几人三餐四季的共同生活？与其说“家庭”是一种现实存在，应该说更多存在于每个人的“家庭自我认同意识”（Family Identify）中，也就是每个人的心理认同和个人选择。对在血缘、种族、婚姻等界限之外的亲密关系的形容，常常说“像家人一样”，也就是个人的心理认同。
从家庭到“像家庭一样”，家庭的临界点在哪里呢？
此外，作为从充满社会竞争压力的公共领域“逃脱”出来的私人领域，在性别视角下，家庭，仍充斥着权力和资源的不平等，以及由此造成的压迫结构。
依赖性成员（老幼）的存在是不是使家庭稳定的重要因素？看护老幼，为什么成了主妇们的“天职”？家务为什么成了女性的“强制劳动”？在家务这种无偿劳动未曾减轻的前提下，女性进入职场，真的是获得了平等和解放吗？当一个个疑问提出时，作为“爱的共同体”的家庭的盖子，也就被揭开了。

上野千鹤子（1948—），日本著名社会学家，日本女性学/性别研究的代表人物，东京大学名誉教授。《近代家庭的形成和终结》是她的代表作品，知名作品还有《父权制与资本主义》《厌女》《一个人最后的旅程》等。

In today's increasingly diverse family forms, more and more people claim that the "family" is disintegrating.
Why home, after all? Is it the choice of blood regardless of distance, or a house of several people three meals and four seasons of life together? Rather than "Family" is a real existence, it should be said that it exists more in each person's "family self-identification", that is, each person's psychological identity and personal choice. The description of intimate relationships outside the boundaries of blood, race, marriage, etc., is often said to be "like family", that is, personal psychological identity.
Where is the tipping point between family and "like family"?
In addition, as a private sphere that "escapes" from the public sphere full of social competitive pressures, the family, from a gender perspective, is still full of inequalities in power and resources, and the resulting oppressive structures.

Why housework becomes "forced labor" for women? Under the premise that the unpaid work of housework has not been alleviated, women enter the workplace, is it really equality and liberation? When one question after another is raised, the lid of the family as a "community of love" is lifted.

Chizuko Ueno (1948 -), famous Japanese sociologist, representative of Japanese women's studies/gender studies, honorary professor at the University of Tokyo. "The Formation and End of the Modern Family" is her representative works, and well-known works such as "Patriarchy and Capitalism", "Misogyny" and "One Man's Last Journey".

He is currently a visiting scholar and adjunct professor in the Asian Studies Program, Department of Anthropology, and Department of Global Languages and Literature at Bridgewater State University.
