Content introduction
This book is a comprehensive reflection and explanation of contemporary historical research, and reflects the application of various western historical trends in Chinese historiography. This book is not only the essence of the author's continuous thinking on this issue in the past two decades, but also a remarkable and effective attempt to establish a new research paradigm in the field of history, which requires the author to draw on the "middle theory" of sociology from an interdisciplinary perspective. Through the reflection and interpretation of contemporary historical research, the author shares with more scholars the research quality with a global vision, the research ideas of analyzing the dynamics and complexity of things, and the research methods that transcend the barriers of disciplines and specialties. The specific embodiment is that on the macro level, we should think about the political dynamics and social development under the changes of contemporary ideological trends, and on the micro level, we should deeply observe social life with a problem consciousness. In this way, the historian's awareness of problems and insight beyond local events are tempered.
