日本知名音乐家。
1947年出生于日本东京。
1969年以“Apryl Fool”贝斯手的身份出道，1970年结成乐队“Happy End”。
1978年与坂本龙一、高桥幸宏组成“Yellow Magic Orchestra”（简称YMO），在艺术和商业层面都取得了巨大成功。该乐队影响了一大批活跃在20世纪90年代之后的日本音乐人。YMO解散后他转而探索世界音乐、氛围音乐。
1996年创立音乐厂牌“雏菊世界”（daisyworld），发行日本及世界各地的各种实验性音乐，他自己也常常参与制作。
他曾为《风之谷》《小偷家族》等家喻户晓的电影配乐。
2008年获得“艺术选奖”之文部科学大臣赏。

Harutomi Hosono, a Japanese contemporary music giant and internationally renowned musician, is also a godfather figure in the music industry for more than 50 years. His band "Happy End" has been called "the beginning of Japanese rock music" and has influenced the entire Japanese music scene. YMO (Yellow Magic Orchestra), a musical group he formed, swept Europe and the United States in an instant with avant-garde and unique synthetic electronic music style, and was one of the few bands that successfully exported culture to the West based on Eastern aesthetics. Hosono has since become a leading figure in the Japanese music industry.

Haruomi Hosono
Famous Japanese musician.
Born in 1947 in Tokyo, Japan.
He debuted in 1969 as the bassist of Apryl Fool and formed the band Happy End in 1970.
In 1978, he formed the Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukihiro Takahashi, which achieved great success both artistically and commercially. The band has influenced a large number of Japanese musicians active since the 1990s. After YMO broke up, he turned to exploring world music and ambient music.
In 1996, he founded the music label daisyworld, which releases a variety of experimental music from Japan and around the world, often producing himself.
He has composed scores for such well-known films as "Nadir of the Wind" and "Shoplifters."
In 2008, he was awarded the "Art Selection Award" by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Science.
In 2019, he won the Best Music Award at the 42nd Japan Film Academy Awards.
Now as a composer, producer of multi-living activities.
