Introduction of works
This book aims to re-examine humanism in philosophical terms, refuting the traditional view that philosophy could not be produced during this period. However, if there is no underlying philosophy of art, whether such great art can be produced is still a question worth studying. In this book, the author explores the views of many philosophers, artists, historians, and philologists, distilling several important issues about humanism and addressing them in a lively essay, trying to find a philosophical way to restart humanistic exploration in the flowing thoughts.
Massimo Cacciari is an Italian philosopher, essayist, politician, and columnist who taught at the University of Architecture in Venice and the University of Life and Health in SAN Rafael, was mayor of Venice, and was one of the founders of several journals of political philosophy. He has published many works and articles, including On Beginnings, The Labyrinth of Philosophy, Architecture and Nihilism: On the Philosophy of Modern Architecture.
Translator:
Zhang Yuyang is pursuing a master's degree in Italian Language and literature at Beijing Foreign Studies University. He has published three translations, and has participated in the translation work of the Montessori Education training of the Italian National Project and the Italian National Tourism Board.
