《在光与万物背后》选自马蒂亚斯·波利蒂基的《诗歌总集2017—1987》，诗人为中国读者精选出81首诗，按主题分为自然之诗、城市之诗、爱情之诗、生活之诗与远东之诗。波利蒂基在诗中分享了自己在三十年间对自然、城市、生活与爱情的诸多感受，也记录了在世界各地旅行过程中受到的启发。
在他看来，诗歌是寻求庇护、“将倾斜的世界重新归正”的方式，生活本身就是诗歌的源头。诗意，恰从生活的缝隙间透过。
马蒂亚斯·波利蒂基（Matthias Politycki），1955年生于德国卡尔斯鲁厄，德国笔会成员。1987年获得哲学博士学位，同年出版个人首部长篇小说，1989年至1990年任慕尼黑大学助理教授，随后成为自由撰稿人，并很快在当代德语文坛享有一席之地。波利蒂基已出版三十余部作品，包括长篇小说、短篇小说、诗歌、杂文等，作品被译为英语、法语、意大利语、丹麦语、日语等多国语言。
波利蒂基足迹遍布全球一百多个国家，被誉为德国作家中的环球旅行者。他至今拒绝使用手机，依靠地图和记事本安排行程，偶尔迷路，却总能到达。
Introduction of works
Behind the Light and Everything is selected from Matthias Politiki's Poetry Collection 2017-1987, a collection of 81 poems for Chinese readers, divided by theme into poems about nature, cities, love, life and the Far East. In the poem, Politiki shares many of his feelings about nature, cities, life and love over the past three decades, as well as the inspirations he has received during his travels around the world.
In his view, poetry is a way of seeking refuge and "righting a tilted world", and life itself is the source of poetry. Poetry, just from the gap between life through.
Matthias Politycki (born 1955 in Karlsruhe, Germany) is a member of the German PEN Society. He received his doctorate in philosophy in 1987, published his first novel in the same year, and worked as an assistant professor at the University of Munich from 1989 to 1990, then became a freelance writer, and soon gained a place in the contemporary German literary scene. Politiki has published more than 30 works, including novels, short stories, poems, essays, etc. His works have been translated into English, French, Italian, Danish, Japanese and other languages.
Politiki has been to more than one hundred countries around the world and is known as the globetrotter among German writers. He has so far refused to use a mobile phone, relying on maps and notepads to arrange his trip, occasionally getting lost but always arriving.
