柳公权，唐代著名书法家、诗人，一代名臣。他少有才学，二十九岁时高中状元，从秘书省校书郎任起，历仕七朝，官至太子少师。
柳公权为人为官公正无私，前后三次官居侍书学士，曾以笔为谏，留下美谈。柳公权独创“柳体”楷书，与颜真卿齐名，后世有“颜筋柳骨”的美誉。传世碑刻有《金刚经》《玄秘塔碑》《神策军碑》等。
