二十年来，艺术家向京与作家林白、哲学家陈嘉映、电影学者戴锦华、诗人朱朱等不同领域的朋友进行了一系列对谈，这些谈话涉及艺术家的成长和创作，也谈到了女性主义、传统文化、当代艺术和社会思潮等方面的问题，我们将这些谈话的时间顺序打乱，将不同时候谈论同一话题的片段用蒙太奇的方式剪辑到一起，形成了一篇长谈。
德国学者阿克曼在与向京对谈时提到，艺术家在创作的过程当中，如同行走在一个无形、无垠的宇宙。被打乱时空后的长谈某种意义上模拟出了类似的宇宙，时间、空间这些外在的因素被剥离，通过谈话中变化着的和未曾变化的表达，艺术家在这个宇宙中的基本依靠和边界依稀可见。
作者简介
向京，1968年生于北京，1995年毕业于中央美术学院雕塑系。现工作、生活于北京。
与其说向京是个“女性主义”艺术家，不如说她是个带有女性视角和女性意识的艺术家，但这都不是重点，她作品里透露出的不安感，是对于现代性下人性的迷雾和对于生存本身的不断确认——“内在性”是她所企图挖掘的生存真相。在谈及“当代性与传统媒介”“女性身份与普遍人性”“观看与被看”“内在欲望”等学术命题时，向京及其创作是个不可回避的个案。

Is the life bearer of Chinese civilization a woman? Is there a feminist creation? Is contemporary art just a coterie of words? Can artificial intelligence create works of art that are only perceptive and ineffable? As an iconic female artist in contemporary China, why did Xiang Jing completely end her sculpture creation in 2019?
Over the past two decades, the artist Xiang Jing has had a series of dialogues with friends from different fields, such as writer Lin Bai, philosopher Chen Jiaying, film scholar Dai Jinhua, poet Zhu Zhu, etc. These conversations have touched on the growth and creation of artists, as well as the issues of feminism, traditional culture, contemporary art and social trends, and we have disrupted the chronological order of these conversations. Clips from different times talking about the same topic are montage together to form a long conversation.
German scholar Ackermann mentioned in his conversation with Xiang Jing that in the process of creation, artists are like walking in an invisible and boundless universe. The long talk after the time and space are disrupted simulates a similar universe in a sense, and the external factors such as time and space are stripped away. Through the expression of changes and unchanged in the talk, the artist's basic dependence and boundary in this universe are faintly visible.
About the author
Xiang Jing, born in 1968 in Beijing, graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1995. He lives and works in Beijing.
Xiang Jing is not so much a "feminist" artist as she is an artist with a female perspective and female consciousness, but this is not the point, the sense of unease revealed in her works is the fog of human nature under modernity and the constant confirmation of survival itself - "internality" is the survival truth she attempts to dig out. When it comes to academic topics such as "contemporary and traditional media", "female identity and universal humanity", "seeing and being seen" and "inner desire", Xiang Jing and his creation are an unavoidable case.
