　　巫鸿（Wu Hung），著名美术史家、批评家、策展人，芝加哥大学教授。

　　1963年考入中央美术学院美术史系学习。1972—1978年任职于故宫博物院书画组、金石组。1978年重返中央美术学院美术史系攻读硕士学位。1980—1987年就读于哈佛大学，获美术史与人类学双重博士学位。随即在哈佛大学美术史系任教，于1994年获终身教授职位，同年受聘主持芝加哥大学亚洲艺术教学，执“斯德本特殊贡献教授”讲席。2002年建立东亚艺术研究中心并任主任，兼任该校斯马特美术馆顾问策展人。2008年被遴选为美国国家文理学院终身院士，并获美国大学艺术学会美术史教学特殊贡献奖，2016年获选为英国牛津大学斯雷特讲座教授，2018年获选为美国大学艺术学会杰出学者，2019年获选为美国国家美术馆梅隆讲座学者，并获得哈佛大学荣誉艺术博士，2022年荣获美国大学艺术学会“艺术写作杰出终身成就奖”。成为大陆赴美学者获得这些荣誉的第一人。

The nearly four hundred years from the Five Dynasties to the Southern Song Dynasty was the period of the emergence of such legendary works as Han Xizai's Banquet, River and Mountain Travel, A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains, and Riverside during the Qingming Festival. It was also a special and crucial stage in the history of Chinese painting:

More and more painters broke away from the collective creation of temple and palace murals, and murals and scroll paintings formed a new interactive relationship. The emergence of the hanging shaft and the exploration of the form of the hand scroll have given birth to the far-reaching composition style and viewing mode; The increasingly refined branch of painting implies the further specialization of painting practice; The deep participation of central and local governments led to the administrative and institutional creation of painting, and then formed a comprehensive court painting system that had never appeared in Chinese history. About the author

Wu Hung is a renowned art historian, critic, curator and professor at the University of Chicago.

In 1963, he was admitted to the Art History Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. From 1972 to 1978, he worked in the painting and Calligraphy Group and the Stone Group of the Palace Museum. In 1978, he returned to the Art History Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts to pursue a master's degree. From 1980 to 1987, he studied at Harvard University and received a dual doctorate in art history and anthropology. He then taught in the Department of Art History at Harvard University, and in 1994 was awarded a tenured professorship. In the same year, he was appointed to chair the Asian Art teaching at the University of Chicago, where he held the "Steppen Special Contribution Professor" chair. In 2002, he established the East Asian Art Research Center and served as the director and consultant curator of the Smart Art Museum of the university. In 2008, he was selected as a lifetime fellow of the National College of Arts and Sciences, and won the Special Contribution Award for Art History Teaching of the American University Art Society, in 2016 he was elected as the Slater Chair Professor of the University of Oxford, in 2018 he was elected as the Distinguished Scholar of the American University Art Society, and in 2019 he was elected as the Mellon Chair Scholar of the National Gallery of Art. He received an honorary Doctor of Arts from Harvard University, and won the "Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award in Art Writing" from the American University Art Society in 2022. He became the first scholar from the mainland to receive these honors.
