作者简介
德力·桑德豪斯（DerekSandhaus）
美国作家、白酒品鉴家，曾旅居成都多年。2018年，与泸州老窖股份有限公司合作创立了面向海外市场的白酒品牌MingRiver（明江白酒），并担任该品牌的全球推广总监。此外，他还是白酒品鉴网（drinkbaijiu.com）的编辑，曾出版多部关于中国历史和酒文化的作品，包括《白酒：中国烈酒指南》《老北京的故事》《老香港的故事》《醉在中国》等。
目前他与妻子居住在耶路撒冷，仍致力于白酒的品鉴与推广工作。

From a small sip, Deli embarked on a journey to find Chinese wine.
Four Chuan Luzhou Old cellar, Guizhou Maotai, Guilin Sanhua wine, Shaoxing rice wine, Shanxi Fenjiu, Henan Dukang...... While traveling across the country and drinking famous wines from all over the world, he also visited local winemakers, archaeologists, dealers and senior wine friends, and discovered various aspects of China's 9,000 years of wine culture, as well as the spirit and feelings of the Chinese people hidden in wine workshops, market cafes, secret bars and poetry stories.
This book is a collection of non-fiction essays by American writer and wine connoisseur Deri Sandhaus, which records the people and events he experienced on his journey to find famous wines. From the perspective of an outsider, it also presents the little-known stories, history and culture behind baijiu, from the wine of sacrifice to the wine of poets, from the drunkness of guests to the drinks of friends. It shows how baijiu, as an indispensable part of Chinese culture, sculpts the spiritual landscape of the Chinese people, and how it serves as a business card to allow the world to rediscover the ancient and fresh China.
About the author
Derry Sandhaus
American writer, wine taster, has lived in Chengdu for many years. In 2018, he co-founded MingRiver, a liquor brand for overseas markets, in cooperation with Luzhou Laojiao Co., LTD., and served as the global promotion director of the brand. He is also the editor of drinkbaijiu.com and has published several books on Chinese history and wine culture, including Baijiu: A Guide to Chinese Spirits, The Story of Old Beijing, The Story of Old Hong Kong, and Drunk in China.
He currently lives in Jerusalem with his wife and is still dedicated to tasting and promoting baijiu.
