作者简介
陈忠实（1942—2016），陕西省西安市灞桥区人。历任毛西公社革委会副主任及党委副书记，西安市郊区文化馆副馆长，西安市灞桥区文化局副局长，陕西省作家协会副主席、主席，中国作家协会副主席。中国共产党第十三、十四届全国代表大会代表，中共陕西省委第七届、八届、九届委员会候补委员。
已出版长篇小说《白鹿原》，《陈忠实小说自选集》三卷，《陈忠实文集》十卷，散文集《生命之雨》《告别白鸽》《家之脉》《原下的日子》等著作一百二十余种。有多部（篇）作品被翻译成英、法、俄、日、韩、越南、蒙古、维吾尔、柯尔克孜、锡伯等语种文字出版。《白鹿原》已被改编或移植为秦腔、话剧、舞剧、歌剧、电影、电视剧、连环画、雕塑等多种艺术形式。

About the author
Chen Zhongshi (1942-2016) was a native of Baqiao District, Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province. He successively served as deputy director and deputy secretary of the Reform Committee of Maoxi Commune, deputy director of Xi 'an Suburban Cultural Center, Deputy director of Xi 'an Baqiao District Cultural Bureau, Vice chairman and Chairman of Shaanxi Provincial Writers Association and Vice Chairman of Chinese Writers Association. He was a deputy to the 13th and 14th National Congresses of the Communist Party of China and an alternate member of the 7th, 8th and 9th Committees of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.
He has published more than 120 kinds of novels, such as White Deer Plain, three volumes of Selected Works of Chen Zhongshi's Novels, ten volumes of Chen Zhongshi's Collected works, essays, Rain of Life, Farewell to the White Dove, The Pulse of Home, and the Days Under the Original. Many of his works have been translated into English, French, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Mongolian, Uyghur, Kirgiz, Xibe and other languages. White Deer Plain has been adapted or transplanted into Qin opera, drama, dance drama, opera, film, TV series, comic strip, sculpture and other art forms.
