儒家是中国传统学术的核心话题，近代以来又成为哲学、思想史、伦理学、文化研究等领域的重要内容。社会学对儒家的关注，在中国学术界应归功于潘光旦，他偏重社会思想方面的阐述；在西方学术界则以韦伯的研究尤为著名。

本书的所有研究均基于对社会学本土化之思考，即坚持儒家的社会学研究既不走回国学，也不套用西方学术话语进行言说，亦不囿于思想史或历史领域，而是以社会学的视角，对儒家内含之社会理论性问题和实践性问题进行了多方位的探讨。儒家思想在社会学中的重点议题是伦理的社会实践及其衍生出的社会特征，其逻辑发端于“人伦”与“耻感”，即“人伦日用”。

尤为重要的是，本书原创性地提出了“对偶生成理论”和“关系向度理论”，并对“孝道”“人情”“面子”“自我”“情爱”“日常计谋”及宏观社会秩序的运行与维系等做了专题性讨论，以期形成一种对中国人之生活世界的研究视角与解释框架。

作者简介

翟学伟，男，1960年生于南京。自1986年考入南开大学社会学系研究生班起，开始研习社会学，1988年入职南京大学社会学系，其间获法学硕士学位和史学博士学位，现为南京大学社会学院教授、博士生导师。入选教育部长江学者特聘教授（2015—2020），现为国务院学科评议组成员，享受国务院政府特殊津贴。长期致力于社会学本土化研究，发表学术论文六十余篇，出版著作有《人情、面子与权力的再生产》《中国人行动的逻辑》《中国人的脸面观：形式主义的心理动因与社会表征》《中国人的关系原理：时空秩序、生活欲念及其流变》等。

Content introduction

Confucianism is the core topic of traditional Chinese academic research, and has become an important content of philosophy, ideological history, ethics, cultural studies and other fields since modern times. In Chinese academic circles, the attention of sociology to Confucianism should be attributed to Pan Guangdan, who emphasizes the elaboration of social thought. In the western academic circles, Weber's research is particularly famous.

All the research in this book is based on the consideration of the localization of sociology, that is, it insists that the sociological research of Confucianism does not go back to China, nor does it apply Western academic discourse, nor is it limited to the field of ideological history or history, but carries on a multi-dimensional discussion on the social theoretical and practical problems contained in Confucianism from the perspective of sociology. The key issue of Confucianism in sociology is the social practice of ethics and its derived social characteristics, the logic of which originates from "human ethics" and "shame", that is, "human ethics daily".

More importantly, the book is an original "duality generation theory" and "relationship dimension theory", and the "filial piety", "human feeling", "face", "self", "love", "daily strategies" and the operation and maintenance of the macro social order, and so on, to form a research perspective and interpretation of the Chinese life world.

About the author

Zhai Xuewei, male, was born in 1960 in Nanjing. In 1986, he was admitted to the graduate class of the Department of Sociology, Nankai University, and began to study sociology. In 1988, he joined the Department of Sociology, Nanjing University, where he obtained a master's degree in law and a doctor's degree in history. Now he is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Sociology, Nanjing University. He was selected as the Special Professor of Changjiang Scholars of the Ministry of Education (2015-2020), and is now a member of the Subject Review Group of The State Council, enjoying the special government allowance of The State Council. He has long been committed to the study of the localization of sociology, and has published more than 60 academic papers, including the reproduction of human feeling, face and Power, the Logic of Chinese Action, The Chinese View of Face: the Psychological Motivation and social Representation of Formalism, and the Relationship Principle of Chinese People: the Order of time and Space, the Desire for Life and its Evolution.
