作者简介
艾尔·麦克尼科尔（Elle McNicoll），初露头角的儿童文学作家，来自苏格兰，现居伦敦东部。作为一名自闭症患者，她热衷于表达残疾人的权利和代表权，并在伦敦大学担任神经多样性学生的导师。她的处女作《闪闪火花》被《星期日泰晤士报》评为推荐儿童图书，荣获英国蓝彼得奖、水石书店童书奖等多项荣誉。《科拉决定做自己》是她的第二部作品。

It's a young adult novel with science fiction elements. It follows the camaraderie and adventures between an autistic girl, Cora, and a boy with ADHD, Adrian. Neither of them is considered to be perfect kids, but the difference and empathy make them each other's best friends. Cora is drawn to the mysterious Pomegranate Technology Institute, a place where people can live virtually forever. Their artificial intelligence technology can store and fully reproduce holograms of people, people can use to meet and talk with deceased relatives and friends, the pain of separation will be completely ended! However, as events unfold, Cora discovers the dark secret behind Pomegranate technology, and the brave Cora decides to expose the conspiracy and save everyone.
About the author
Elle McNicoll, a budding children's author, is originally from Scotland and now lives in east London. As an autistic person, she is passionate about expressing the rights and representation of people with disabilities and works as a mentor to neurodiversity students at the University of London. Her debut novel, Sparkle, was named a recommended children's book by the Sunday Times and won the British Blue Peter Award and Waterstones' Children's Book Award, among other accolades. "Cora Decides to Be Herself" is her second book.
