邓萨尼勋爵（LordDunsany，1878-1957），

原名爱德华-约翰-莫顿-德拉克斯-普朗克，爱尔兰作家、剧作家，在1899年继承了家族古老的头衔“邓萨尼勋爵”，并以此为笔名进行创作，后以奇幻小说闻名于世，代表作有《精灵王之女》《佩加纳诸神》《奇迹之书》等。邓萨尼勋爵一生经历丰富，涉猎广泛，生前就出版小说、诗歌、戏剧、散文和自传近百部，对后世奇幻文学影响深远，被洛夫克拉夫特誉为“新兴神话与惊奇传说的缔造者”，是当之无愧的现代奇幻文学的奠基人之一。

"The Book of Wonders" is the work of Lord Dunsany, its style is ethereal, profound, mixed with many old folklore, full of myth and fantasy color.

Lord Dunsany is arguably one of the founding fathers of modern fantasy literature, and an influential figure for later writers such as H.P. Lovecraft (The Myth of the Cruthu), Tolkien (The Lord of the Rings), Ursula LeGuen (The Legend of Earthsea) and others had a profound impact. H.P. Lovecraft said, "The first reading gave me the electric sensation of reading only two pages, and I became a lifelong Dunsany supporter."

It contains three of Lord Dunsany's masterpieces: The Gods of Pegana (1905), The Book of Miracles (1912) and Fifty-One Stories (1915).

Among them, The Gods of Pegana, Lord Dunsany's first book, constructs a fictional world with a completely separate mythological lineage, history, and geography, in which all the stories take place.

This model of completely inventing and creating a worldview is now known as the "so-and-so universe." Tracing back to the source, the founder of the countless "universes" of later generations was Lord Dunsany.

LordDunsany (1878-1957),

Born Edward John Morton Drax Planck, an Irish writer and playwright who inherited the family's ancient title "Lord Dunsany" in 1899 and wrote under the pen name, he became famous for his fantasy novels, such as "The Daughter of the Elf King", "The Gods of Pegana" and "The Book of Miracles". Lord Dunsany published nearly 100 novels, poems, plays, essays and autobiographies during his lifetime, which had a profound influence on later fantasy literature, and was praised by Lovecraft as "the founder of emerging myths and amazing legends", and is well-deserved as one of the founders of modern fantasy literature.
