美国诗人、作家。美国西北大学温伯格艺术与科学学院董事会教授。2020年博比特国家诗歌终身成就奖、2007年普利策诗歌奖获得者，美国第19任桂冠诗人。著有非虚构作品《卡特里娜飓风之外：密西西比海岸的沉思》（Beyond Katrina:A Meditation on the Mississippi Gulf Coast）；诗集《纪念碑：新诗选》（Monument:Poems New&Selected）、《奴役》（Thral）、《家园保卫者》（Native Guard）、《贝洛克的奥菲利亚》（Bellocq’s Ophelia）、《家务劳动》（Domestic Work）等。

Natasha Trehuy's world was turned upside down when her mother was shot by her stepfather at the age of 19. Faced with the burden of life and death, she chose to avoid the experience and bury her sadness. Thirty years later, she finally returns to the scene of the crime, going through letters, diaries and police files. In the intersection of memories and reality, she tries to recreate the family's former southern life, her mother's life experience as a black woman, and the tragic journey of domestic violence.
For the first time, Pulitzer Prize winner Natasha Trehuy recounts the traumatic and enduring effects of domestic violence and racism on individuals and societies, and explores how this memory reshaped her life as a poet and writer.
