　　庆山（曾用名安妮宝贝）的写作一直与旅行有着密切相关。她的这部最新长篇依然从旅行开始，前世今生，山谷一梦，小说文字依然洁净优美，不丹、印度、喜马拉雅、隐秘山谷、湖水、寺院、幻海、惹觉、犀地……在这些相对于地理坐标的旅行之外，小说还呈现了在更广阔时空概念里进行的“旅行”，一种基于生命、死亡，一次次不断明灭的更为漫长的“旅行”。

　　庆山用文字建造了一个层层跃升、盘旋而上的立体结构。大量充满象征意味的物品、对话、意象，是这座建筑物里隐匿的秘密通道。小说设置了多重人物关系：净湖和远音突破常规与世俗的情感，如真和不同身份的男人的正面与负面的关系，雀缇与无量的感情……但情欲世界的泥泞幻境不再是主角。小说里充满直面自我的剖析，各种隐秘而深刻的记忆，包裹的潜意识、直觉、情绪与理性，对关系、死亡、灵魂伴侣、信念、真我、爱……这些永久的问题的思考与讨论。

　　小说里的时间、空间被打碎并重置，在时空以及真幻的不断流转变迁中，他们探讨“爱”的本质，但他们真正需要处理的是如何去发掘自心、本性，如何净化自己的生命，去除心结束缚。他们面对的是归宿问题。这种发掘也许要穿透背景、身份、历史以及无尽覆盖的伤痛与记忆。

　　对于庆山来说，完成这部作品的意义也许就在于：让自己的书写获得了某种完整性。它很难在现有小说写作标准内被轻易对标。从这个角度来看，《夏摩山谷》是一本充满光亮的“爱之书”，也是对各种主流观念提出疑义的“叛逆之书”。
