本书乃李泽厚生前审订的随笔集
收文72篇，除两篇外，均为李泽厚20世纪90年代后所作，其中十多篇为首次收入书中。

本书分为四部分：忆往、杂记、思想、序跋，内容宽泛，形式不一。书中，李泽厚讲述自己的生平故事，求学经历、与亲人的交往、学术之路、思想历程，等等，并且表达出对人生、社会以及世界、人类文明和未来的关怀和探索。在写人怀事中，表现出李泽厚自然、坦率的个性，以及坚持自己学术道路的求索和无悔精神。
李泽厚（1930-2021），湖南长沙人。中国当代著名思想家，在哲学、思想史、美学、伦理学等多个领域均有重大建树。1954年毕业于北京大学。中国社会科学院哲学所研究员。1988年当选为巴黎国际哲学院院士。1992年客居美国，先后任美国、德国等多所大学的客席讲座教授。1998年获美国科罗拉多学院人文学荣誉博士学位。2010年入选世界权威的《诺顿理论和批评选集》。

This book is divided into four parts: memory, miscellany, thought, preface and postscript, the content is broad, the form is different. In the book, Li Zehou tells his life story, study experience, communication with his relatives, academic road, ideological course, and so on, and expresses his concern and exploration of life, society, the world, human civilization and the future. In writing about people's affairs, Li Zehou shows his natural and frank personality, as well as his pursuit of academic road and unrepentant spirit.
Li Zehou (1930-2021) was born in Changsha, Hunan Province. He is a famous contemporary Chinese thinker who has made great achievements in many fields such as philosophy, ideological history, aesthetics and ethics. He graduated from Peking University in 1954. Researcher, Institute of Philosophy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He was elected a member of the International Academy of Philosophy in Paris in 1988. In 1992, he moved to the United States as a guest professor at several universities in the United States and Germany. In 1998, he received an honorary doctorate in humanities from Colorado College. In 2010, he was selected into the world-renowned NORTON Anthology of Theory and Criticism.
