　　本书是中国政法大学清史专家林乾老师继《雍正十三年》之后，围绕“张居正改革”这一影响明代中后期国祚与命脉的重要事件讲述的一部通俗历史叙事作品。

　　张居正是中国历史上勇于担当的改革家，是辅佐万历皇帝开创“万历新政”的政治家，更是彪炳史册、名传千古的传奇历史人物。作者以“权力之变”“改革人生”“破家沉族”三大篇章架构起张居正波澜壮阔又慷慨悲壮的一生。他怀抱济世救民之志一步步登上首辅高位，而后秉持“以身为蓐荐”的改革宏愿力排众议，摒除万难，推行大刀阔斧的改革，其间，他整顿吏治，刷新颓风；整治教育，延揽经邦济世之才；心系边防军事，以身许国，力促与俺答修好，促成了明代边关的长治安宁；革新税赋，梳理财政，开创了泽被后世的“一条鞭法”……这一系列改革方略拯救朱明王朝于将倾之际，不仅延续了明代国祚，更使得万历时期成为大明历史上最为富庶的时代。

　　作者简介

　　林乾，1959年生，先后在吉林师范大学、东北师范大学、中国人民大学获得历史学学士、硕士、博士学位。曾在吉林师范大学历史系、吉林省社会科学院历史研究所工作。现为教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地、中国政法大学法律史学研究院教授，博士生导师，兼任国家清史编纂委员会典志组专家中国法律史学会理事、曾国藩研究会常务理事、西华师范大学档案文献研究中心副主任等。曾于2017年任华为公司顾问。在百家讲坛主讲《雍正十三年》。主持国家社科基金项目、教育部重大项目、北京市规划重点项目等多项。代表作有：《中国古代的权力与法律》《传统中国的权与法》《治官与治民：清代律例法研究》《嘉靖皇帝大传》《曾国藩大传》（合著）等。

The author constructs Zhang Juzheng's magnificent, generous and tragic life with three chapters: "Power change", "life reform" and "family collapse". About the author

Lin Qian, born in 1959, received his bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees in history from Jilin Normal University, Northeast Normal University and Renmin University of China. He worked in the Department of History, Jilin Normal University and the Institute of History, Jilin Academy of Social Sciences. He is now a key research base of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Institute of Legal History of China University of Political Science and Law, and a director of the Chinese Legal History Society, an expert of the National Qing History Compilation Committee, an executive director of Zeng Guofan Research Institute, and deputy director of the Archives and Documentation Research Center of China West Normal University. He worked as a consultant for Huawei in 2017. Lecturing on "Thirteen Years of Yongzheng" in lecture room. He has presided over a number of national Social Science Fund projects, major projects of the Ministry of Education, and key projects of Beijing Municipal Planning. His representative works include: Power and Law in Ancient China, Power and Law in Traditional China, Governing Officials and People: A Study on the Laws and Regulations of the Qing Dynasty, Biography of Emperor Jiajing, Biography of Zeng Guofan (co-authored), etc.
