A brief introduction to the Art Form of Nature
This book brings together Ernst Haeckel's 100 most iconic museum paintings, featuring not only Marine creatures, but also terrestrial creatures such as hummingbirds, antelopes, and pitcher plants. He uses delicate brushstrokes and ingenious ideas to accurately capture the dynamic beauty of life. The complex and symmetrical structure presented in the plates had a profound impact on the Art Nouveau movement and provided inexhaustible inspiration for artists of the time. Their creations combined natural science and art more closely.
