  米亚·科托(Mia Couto,1955-),莫桑比克诗人、小说家,当今葡萄牙语文学的中坚力量。十四岁开始在报刊发表诗歌,已出版作品三十多部,译成二十三种语言,1992年的长篇小说处女作《梦游之地》入选“20世纪很伟大的12部非洲小说”,并为他赢得卡蒙斯文学奖(2013)和纽斯塔特国际文学奖(2014)。作为非洲文学史上很重要的作品之一,《梦游之地》以精妙的叙事结构和对语言的改造,探寻了殖民大陆身份认同的出路与可能,在文字中重建了莫桑比克整个国度,也为作家的文学创作理念做出了近乎完美的注解。

  闵雪飞,葡萄牙科英布拉大学文学博士,北京大学外国语学院西葡语系葡萄牙语专业副教授,葡语文学研究者、译者,西葡拉美文学研究会理事。近年来主要致力于葡萄牙语诗歌、葡语女性主义文学与葡语文学中的国家认同研究。主要代表译著与专著:《阿尔伯特•卡埃罗》《星辰时刻》《隐秘的幸福》《绿松上绽开的花:葡萄牙语文学漫谈》等。



Introduction of works

"The Land of Sleepwalking" is a novel masterpiece by the Mozambican writer Mia Coto. In the 1980s, Mozambique was Mired in civil war. As war survivors, an old man and a boy use a burnt-out bus as a shelter. They found a diary left behind by the deceased passenger, which told the story of his life. The boy spoke for the old man, and the stories in the diary interwoven with reality.

The Land of Sleepwalking, written in 1992, is Mia Coto's feature-length debut. He is a powerful indictment of the deep suffering left by the war, and uses highly poetic and vivid language to create a magical atmosphere that is closely linked to reality.

author

Mia Couto (1955-) is a Mozambican poet and novelist who is a major force in Portuguese literature today. He began publishing poetry in the press at the age of 14, and has published more than 30 works translated into 23 languages, including his 1992 debut novel, The Land of Sleepwalking, which was selected as one of the "12 great African novels of the 20th Century" and won him the Cammons Literary Prize (2013) and the Neustadt International Literary Prize (2014). As one of the most important works in the history of African literature, The Land of Sleepwalking explores the outlet and possibility of colonizing the continent with its exquisite narrative structure and linguistic transformation, reconstructs the whole country of Mozambique in the text, and makes an almost perfect annotation for the writer's literary creation concept.

Min Xuefei, Ph.D., University of Coimbra, Portugal, Associate professor of Portuguese, Department of Spanish and Portuguese, School of Foreign Languages, Peking University, researcher and translator of Portuguese literature, director of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Literature Research Institute. In recent years, he has focused on the study of national identity in Portuguese poetry, Portuguese feminist literature and Portuguese literature.
