This book is a collection of nine short stories by Canek Sanchez Guevara, grandson of the legendary Cuban revolutionary leader Che Guevara. Set in post-revolutionary Cuba, the novel likens society to a skipping record playing on a continuous loop at 33 revolutions per minute, with people facing material and spiritual dilemmas day after day. The novel is diverse and experimental, showing the life of Cuban society: ordinary workers, drug dealers, pimps, bloodthirsty artists, opportunists, young rockers... At the boundary between reality and nothingness, they endured silently or struggled hard, reproducing the era when revolutionary passion and ideal were intertwined.
