孙犁自幼酷爱读书、嗜书如命，所读书的量和所收获的质都很大。他的《我中学时代课外阅读的情况》一文中看他所列的十项项目、所涉及的书目，从社会科学到自然科学，再到古今中外的名著，涉及十分广泛，即使今天的文史研究生也未必都读过。本书分为三辑，第一辑为中外现代作家、作品的与感想；第二辑为作品札记和序；第三辑为阅读古代作品的读书笔记与。
【作者简介】
孙犁（1913-2002），原名孙树勋，曾用笔名芸夫，河北省安平县孙遥城村人。早年毕业于保定育德中学，曾在北平短期谋生，后任安新县同口镇小学教师。抗日战争爆发后加入中国共产党领导的革命队伍，任职于华北联大、《晋察冀日报》，从事文学创作和抗日宣传工作。1944年到延安，在鲁迅艺术文学院担任教员。1945年在《解放日报》发表短篇小说《荷花淀》《芦花荡》等，受到文坛瞩目，并被誉为“荷花淀派”的创始人。新中国成立后在《天津日报》社工作直至离休。其早期创作清新、明丽，代表作有《白洋淀纪事》《铁木前传》《风云初记》；晚年作品则平淡、深沉、隽永，结集为“耕堂劫后十种”。2004年，人民文学出版社出版11卷本《孙犁全集》。

Sun Li was fond of reading since he was a child. He loved books as much as his life, and both the quantity and quality of what he read were great. In his article "My Secondary School Extracurricular Reading Situation", he listed ten items and the bibliography involved, from social science to natural science, and then to ancient and modern classics at home and abroad, involving a very wide range, even today's literature and history graduate students may not have read. This book is divided into three volumes. The first volume is about modern Chinese and foreign writers, their works and their impressions. The second volume is the notes and preface of the works; The third part is the reading notes of ancient works.
【 About the author 】
Sun Li (1913-2002), originally named Sun Shuxun and formerly known by his pen name Yunfu, was born in Sunyaocheng Village, Anping County, Hebei Province. He graduated from Baoding Yude Middle School in his early years and worked in Beiping for a short time before becoming a teacher at Tongkou Town Primary School in Anxin County. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, he joined the revolutionary team led by the Communist Party of China and served in the North China United Assembly and the Jincha-ji Daily, engaged in literary creation and anti-Japanese propaganda work. In 1944, he went to Yan 'an and worked as a teacher at Lu Xun Academy of Arts and Literature. In 1945, he published short stories "Lotus Lake" and "Luhuadang" in Jiefang Daily, which attracted the attention of the literary circle and was known as the founder of "Lotus Lake School". After the founding of New China, he worked for Tianjin Daily until his retirement. His early works are fresh and bright, and his representative works include Baiyangdian Chronicle, Tiemu Prequel and The Beginning of the Wind; In his later years, his works are plain, deep and meaningful, and they are collected as "Ten Kinds after the Garden Hall Robbery". In 2004, the People's Literature Publishing House published the 11-volume Complete Works of Sun Li.
