Content introduction
Hundreds of dragons live underground in Chang 'an, and residents enjoy riding on their backs and whizzing through tunnels that extend in all directions.
Every year the Emperor of the Tang Dynasty would send officials to the mouth of the Yellow River to collect the koi that had just leaped over the dragon gate, promising them a decent job.
An old dragon complained wearily: "It took me ten years to leap over the dragon gate and come to the capital with a dream, but now what? It's still a subway every day."
