Content introduction

Doctor Bo Shining, an expert in intensive care medicine and life guardian of the Third Hospital of Beijing Medical University, is a new book of life care.

More than 20 years of ICU front-line experience, 19 real stories of life and death hovering. A wife who is abandoned by her husband, a mother who wakes up her child, an old man who wants to go home. They go through pain, but they never give up on living.

These stories include the escape and struggle in the face of illness, the despair and guilt of loved ones, and the darkness and brilliance of humanity in times of crisis.

From the dual perspectives of medical science popularization and humanistic narration, the author reconstructs the real emergency treatment process of ICU, popularizing the common sense of critical illness medicine, and discusses how to make key life-and-death decisions when we face the impact of diseases: save money or save life, give up or stick to it, how to make the best decision, and how to establish the trust of doctors and patients.
