清华大学文科资深教授、人文学院历史系教授。主要研究领域为中国古代史、隋唐史，中西文化关系史等。著有《唐代藩镇研究》（第三版）、《德国的汉学研究》、《佛学与隋唐社会》、《从中西初识到礼仪之争——明清传教士与中西文化交流》、《中西文化关系通史》、《资治通鉴与家国兴衰》、《胡天汉月映西洋：丝路沧桑三千年》等。

About the author
Zhang Guogang
Senior Professor of Liberal Arts and Professor of History, School of Humanities, Tsinghua University. His main research fields include ancient Chinese history, Sui and Tang Dynasties, and the history of cultural relations between China and the West.
