　　《问道：一部全新的中国思想史》摒弃了传统思想史写作仅仅关注具体人物、作品的写法，提炼出包括天下观、正统论、儒法思想、老庄智慧、新儒学、中国佛教在内的六大主题，中国思想史上的重要思想俱已囊括。本书以上述六大主题为纲，围绕思想史上的重要概念、历史观念或历史现象，如周礼、九州、五服制度、五德终始说、文质互补、夷夏之辨、大一统、改正朔、公与私、仁义观、逍遥游、齐物论禅宗公案等，分别总结出十几个不等的核心问题，从思想史演进与社会历史发展的历史语境出发，以舒朗隽永的笔触，提纲挈领地阐释了其对中国传统政治、文化以及人们日常思想行动的影响。

　　杨念群，中国人民大学清史研究所教授，教育部“长江学者”特聘教授，教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地中国人民大学清史研究中心主任。国家清史编纂委员会委员。作者是“新史学”的倡导者和代表人物，主要学术兴趣是中国政治史、社会史、思想史研究，并长期致力于从跨学科、跨领域的角度拓展中国史研究。主要著作有《儒学地域化的近代形态——三大知识群体互动的比较研究》《中层理论：东西方思想会通下的中国史研究》《再造“病人”：中西医冲突下的空间政治（1832—1985）》《五四的另一面：“社会”观念的形成与新型组织的诞生》《何处是“江南”？：清朝正统观的确立与士林精神世界的变异》《重建另一种叙事》《昨日之作与今日之我：当代史学的反思与阐释》《“天命”如何转移：清朝“大一统”观的形成与实践》等，主持《新史学》丛刊及“新史学&多元对话系列”丛书。

Content introduction

"Ask: A New History of Chinese Thought" abandons the traditional history of thought which only focuses on the specific characters and the writing style of the works, and extracts six major themes, including the view of heaven, orthodoxy, Confucianism, Laozhuang wisdom, neo-Confucianism, and Chinese Buddhism, including all the important thoughts in the history of Chinese thought. Based on the above six themes, this book summarizes a dozen different core issues around important concepts, historical concepts or historical phenomena in the history of thought, such as Zhou Li, Kyushu, the Wufu system, the Five Virtues' end and Beginning theory, the complementarity of culture and quality, the differentiation of Yixia, the Great Unity, the New Year of correction, public and private, the concept of benevolence and justice, the free travel, and the Zen koan of Qi Wu. Starting from the historical context of the evolution of ideological history and the development of social history, this paper illustrates its influence on Chinese traditional politics, culture and People's Daily thought and action in a comfortable and meaningful way.

About the author

Yang Nianqun is a professor of the Institute of Qing History of Renmin University of China, a special professor of "Changjiang Scholars" of the Ministry of Education, and director of the Qing History Research Center of Renmin University of China, a key research base of Humanities and Social sciences of the Ministry of Education. Member of the National Qing History Compilation Committee. The author is an advocate and representative of "new historiography". His main academic interest is Chinese political history, social history and intellectual history, and he has long been committed to expanding the study of Chinese history from an interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary perspective.
