王东杰,四川大学历史学学士、复旦大学历史学硕士、四川大学历史学博士。1996—2019年就职于四川大学历史文化学院,历任助教、讲师、副教授、教授;2019年起担任清华大学人文学院历史系教授。
Content introduction
This book is an excellent work focusing on the relationship between modern Chinese universities and the state. The most important feature of this book is that it starts from the "grassroots" and focuses on reflecting local experience, thus deepening our knowledge and understanding of Chinese nationalism. Methodologically, the manuscript also reflects the author's efforts to combine history and anthropology in interdisciplinary research. The book is specific and substantial, and the problems reflected behind it are enormous. About the author
Wang Dongjie holds a Bachelor's degree in history from Sichuan University, a Master's degree in history from Fudan University, and a Doctor's degree in history from Sichuan University. From 1996 to 2019, he worked as a teaching assistant, lecturer, associate professor and professor in the School of History and Culture of Sichuan University. He has been a professor of history at the School of Humanities, Tsinghua University since 2019.
