Daniel Siegel is an internationally renowned educator, psychologist, Harvard Medical Doctor, and clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is co-director of the Center for the Study of Mindfulness Awareness and founder of the Mindsight Institute.
He has spent the last 20 years studying interpersonal neurobiology, and has made significant contributions to the study of family interactions and adolescent psychotherapy, especially the effects of childhood attachment patterns on emotions, behavior, and memory.
He has written seminal works in the fields of brain research, psychotherapy, and parenting, notably The Seventh Sense, Parenting from the Inside Out, and the Whole Brain Parenting Method.
