　　五四思想界有两大鲜明特点，一是复调，新文化方案多元互歧；二是竞争，各方案之间互竞互渗。本书研究的是以梁启超为核心的"研究系"的"新文化运动"，这是一场我们通常熟知的新文化运动"之外"的运动，其目标和方式都与北大师生辈不同，已超越于（beyond）"民主"与"科学"。但同时，它又不是既存言说中新文化运动的外在对立物，而是创造新文化运动的建设性力量。全书通过对蓝公武、张东荪、张君劢等人及其主持的《学灯》《国民公报》《解放与改造》等报刊的分析，深入阐发“梁启超系”新文化运动的思想与主张，呈现了新文化运动纷纭错综、复杂万状的生态。"研究系"在不同时期成为北大师生辈的反对者、竞争者、合作者，双方呈"竞流相"，在五四时期深刻影响着《新青年》，也塑造着整个新文化运动。

　　作者简介

　　周月峰，浙江海宁人，1979年生。四川大学历史文化学院教授。2004年、2006年先后获浙江大学历史学学士学位、硕士学位，2013年获北京大学历史学博士学位。曾受聘为华中师范大学中国近代史研究所讲师、副教授，台北“中研院”近代史研究所访问学者（2017年），北京大学人文社会科学研究院驻访学者（2019年），浙江大学人文高等研究院访问学人（2022年）。研究领域为近代中国的思想、文化与社会。

　　近五年，在本学科具影响力的《近代史研究》《“中研院”近史所集刊》《中共党史研究》《清华大学学报》等杂志发表论文十数篇，编有《辛亥前十年中国政治通览》《中国近代思想家文库·杜亚泉卷》《曹亚伯集》等史料集。承担国家社科基金一般项目、国家社科基金后期资助项目、教育部人文社会科学研究青年基金项目、中国社科院近代史研究所委托项目，参与国家社科基金“抗日战争专项工程”项目，担任“抗战文献数据平台”

The ideological circle of the May Fourth Movement has two distinct characteristics, one is polyphony, the new cultural program is diverse and different; The second is competition, and the schemes compete and permeate each other. This book studies the "New Culture movement" of the "research department" with Liang Qichao as the core, which is a movement "outside" of the new culture movement that we are usually familiar with. Its goals and methods are different from those of the teachers and students of Peking University, and it has gone beyond "democracy" and "science". But at the same time, it is not the external opposite of the existing language of the new cultural movement, but a constructive force to create the new cultural movement. Through the analysis of LAN Gongwu, Zhang Dongsun, Zhang Junmai and their newspapers such as "Xuedang", "National Gazette" and "Liberation and Transformation", the book deeply elucidates the thoughts and opinions of the "Liang Qichao" new culture movement, presenting the complicated and complicated ecology of the new culture movement. In different periods, the research department has become the opponents, competitors and collaborators of the teachers and students of Peking University, and the two sides have a "competition flow", which profoundly influenced the "New Youth" in the May Fourth period, and also shaped the whole new culture movement.

About the author

Zhou Yuefeng, born in 1979 in Haining, Zhejiang Province. Professor, School of History and Culture, Sichuan University. He received his bachelor's degree and master's degree in history from Zhejiang University in 2004 and 2006, and his Doctor's degree in history from Peking University in 2013. He was appointed as lecturer and Associate Professor at the Institute of Modern Chinese History, Central China Normal University, Visiting Scholar at the Institute of Modern Chinese History, Academia Sinica, Taipei (2017), Resident Scholar at the Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences, Peking University (2019), and Visiting Scholar at the Institute of Advanced Humanities, Zhejiang University (2022). His research focuses on modern Chinese thought, culture and society.

In the past five years, he has published more than ten papers in influential journals such as Research on Modern History, Collection of Recent History Institute of Academia Sinica, Research on the History of the Communist Party of China, Journal of Tsinghua University, etc. He has compiled historical collections such as Overview of Chinese Politics in the Decade before 1911, Library of Modern Chinese Thinkers, Volume of Du Yaquan, Collection of Cao Yabo, etc. Undertook the general project of the National Social Science Fund, the later funded project of the National Social Science Fund, the Youth Fund for Humanities and Social Science Research of the Ministry of Education, and the project commissioned by the Institute of Modern History of the Chinese Academy of Social Science, participated in the "Special Project of the Anti-Japanese War" of the National Social Science Fund, and served as the "Anti-Japanese War document data platform".
